  • All calls to the National Dementia Helpline are confidential, except where we are given identifiable information about a person at risk of abuse. All employees and volunteers have a duty to prevent the abuse of children and adults and report any safeguarding concerns to the relevant person, where we have sufficient information to do so. Please see our information on safeguarding, or ask an Adviser when you contact the Helpline.
  • Calls to the Helpline cost no more than the national call rate. They count towards any inclusive minutes in a phone contract. This applies to mobiles, BT or other fixed lines or payphones.
  • Let us know when you call if English is not your first language. We can provide confidential interpreters in many languages.
  • If you have speech or hearing difficulties and have a textphone or an adapted computer, you can use Text Relay to call our Helpline on 01914274279.
